The year is 1894 and a fugitive named Walyon is fleeing from lawmen in Texas. After disembarking the getaway train and stepping out into New England,  a chance meeting occurs with a young detective named Holmes.  The odd fellow claims to be just the bastard son of a nobody... but there appears to be be more to that story than he's is letting on.

As Waylon begins to realize that Holmes's connections with the shadowy Pinkerton Agency may be a key to solving his own problems with the law,  bizarre mysteries unfold before them.
