Adeline and her brother Jake didn't have an easy upbringing, but they always had each other. So when Jake leaves Adeline to join the military, she is devastated. She just never imaged that she might never see him again.

Sebastian St. James grew up in a million dollar house, attended private school till he was 18, was the star of the football team; he had everything he could ever want. But behind the closed victorian style doors was a dark secret that shadowed over his family. So when Sebastian had the opportunity to leave it all behind, he took it and shipped himself off with the Army.

When his best friend has a tragic accident while deployed, Sebastian and their other two best mates have no choice but to visit the small town he grew up in. He thought he was just going to honor his friend and pay respects to his family, never did he expect to fall for Jake's sister who he didn't know even existed.

As he digs deeper into Adeline's life, he begins to see familiar dark signs from his childhood surrounding her. It's his mission to discover what she's hiding underneath her sunshine facade, and maybe grab her heart along the way.
