It didn't matter who fought or what for. World War III ended with the leaders of the world dooming civilization with the push of a button. Earth has become a frail husk of what it used to be. As are the people that are cursed to live on it.
Alexander Stalgis has always wondered why he is special. He learns about the struggles of New America and the anarchy that consumes it, never experiencing it. He has spent his whole life locked away in a magnificent complex with only himself and his father. He's been trained how to fight and shoot since he was a child, among other survival skills. If he was to break out of the complex, could he truly handle the outside word like he thinks he can?
In this new epic, read how Alexander will become the single most important person in a war against not only competing world leaders, but gang warfare, and the hideous creatures 171 years of nuclear radiation can create.

I Highly Recommend reading my other story 'The People of Ohnyne' as that was written as an introduction to many characters we see in 'Subject 3'.
I also warn you that I do very little editing of my chapters and that all of what you are reading is a first draft.
Rate and Comment if you enjoyed it!
Happy reading!

{Book #2 of the Kohai Chronicles} Bennett is in hiding, buried in the cold wilderness outside Yelonder for his safety-but isolation is driving him mad. Separated from his clan, from the only stability he's ever known, he's left with nothing but his own thoughts and the company of Teanu, a young Kohani warrior who's more of an overgrown, well-meaning little brother than a guard. It doesn't help. He misses his nest. He misses them. But when the Dravokar uncover his hiding place, overpowering Teanu and tearing Bennett from the only creatures who have ever claimed him as their own, he realizes too late-Kohani is far more dangerous and unforgiving than he ever imagined from the safety of his little alcove in Yelonder. And worse... he's not the only human here. ••• Ren Solis never expected his deep-space mission to end in disaster. One moment, he was charting unknown territories-then came the wormhole. Now, he's crash-landed on an uncharted, frozen world with no way home and no clue if he's even in the same galaxy. Surviving the cold is one thing. Surviving the creatures that lurk in the snow is another. But when Ren comes face to face with a fierce, enigmatic warrior of the Dravokar, he realizes his fight isn't just for survival-it's for a place in a world that was never meant for him. Stranded, alone, and at the mercy of a species that doesn't trust outsiders, Ren must prove his worth before the wilds of Kóhana swallow him whole. Because these ruthless dragon like creatures are hungry... and if he isn't careful, he won't just be a castaway. He'll be prey.
