This takes place after avatar 2. Neteyam survived, but he had resentment towards Spider once he found out he allowed Miles Quaritch to live. Quaritch returned back to Bridgehead somewhat mourning the deaths of his comrades, he managed to revive Lyle ((I needed at least one guy to live from the RDA that I was familiar with)) but no one else could've been sav1ed. 

A rookie is put with Quaritch's team against his wishes named Wendy. She loves the beauty of the nature surrounding them and tries to enlighten Quaritch of the beauty. They slowly learn to connect and have an understanding of each other that blossoms into something more... even against the RDAS wishes....

Will Quaritch embrace the forest with the same love as Wendy? 

Will Wendy be able to convince the RDA to cease this madness?

This large, slow-build story is essentially an Avatar 3 (with heat and flare!) through Miles Quaritch's eyes after the events of the Way of Water and continuing his parallels with Jake Sully. The story really expands to a movie-sized scope as it goes on. Features Miles' existential crisis and also flashbacks to when Spider was with the 1st Recom Unit. Recoms Lyle Wainfleet and Mansk are also greatly developed. Did my best to be logical and reasonable with the in-movies set canon, and sequel foreshadowing. There are a *few* instances of eventual smut, but there are content warnings and it is kindly written to be skippable if that's not your thing! : )
