Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. The future is far beyond us. It does not exist. When an oblivious idiot takes credit for the invention of the third (and best functioning) model of the RCA, no one even so much as bats an eye, distraction. These models are the best of the best, at everything. Their muscle flexibility is 93% of ours, effectively eliminating non-realistic movement. They have software controlling their vocal output so that what they say always makes perfect sense, even in pronunciation. Everyone agrees on one thing: If they had a heart, they'd be just about human. And that's just it. Somewhere out there, the original prototype is running about, disguising himself as a normal gen3 RCA, when in reality, he's the only non-organic thing on earth to have emotion, and thought. The other RCAS are programmed to identify him as an immediate danger to the public. So he's always moving around. Looking for the finish to his one computer-made script, aptly called 'fate'. He will find it, and it must be complete.

It is not the world I'm afraid of, it is the people who killed humanity among us. The only question arises, what will happen to the rest of us?

The world comes to a conclusion as the effect of zombies.. who invade this Earth unexpectedly. People are trying hard to survive these new species as they don't know their intentions.. some believe it's a flu or a virus... some believe God has stopped believing on this Earth. But the true reason is.. there isn't a reason. The only thing I can say is.. "Survive".

*Prologue* To be entirely honest with you, I never really considered my future. It's not like I needed to...right? Why would you care about jobs and your educational success when you could be scavenging for food, perhaps? I mean what use is your academic future in the apocalypse? Dramatic right? As I sit here, writing this down, I feel a little pathetic. Although the chance that someone would read my story is incredibly low, I can't help but feel a small glimmer of hope that someone will find it. It would become an instant best-seller! Who wouldn't read the first-hand account of a zombie apocalypse survivor? Even if that day were to arrive, I can guarantee that I won't be alive to see it. The world is a complete and total mess and we are the only ones to blame. Why do you ask? Well, why don't we take a trip down memory lane? First, people alone destroyed the earth with pollution, making it the ultimate playground for the undead. Second, we created the virus that single-handedly destroyed 97% of the human population. Wonderful, is it not?

In the Year 2079, most of the world's population have been consumed by a virus that caused them to take those who are uninfected and are never seen again. Only 10% of the world's population is all that's left within the world. How will humanity overcome this catastrophe?

10 years after a zombie virus causes humanity to fall, I find myself alone with only my dog and hope. However an unlikely turn of events causes me to find out I not alone after all.
