From first glance, it appears as though Aleece Clarke has a perfect life. She's on her senior year of high-school and is the new girl in school, she's the top of her class and has gotten invited to more colleges than anyone could have imagined. She lives with loving parents and an adoring sister and has the ideal boyfriend.
She's also very good at hiding the truth. Hiding that her real parents abandoned her when she was 3, her adoptive parents were almost never home and when they are, they abused her. She was constantly conflicted with the thought of whether or not her life is even worth it. And the only one that knew, was Aleece's best friend, Lindsey.
But when Lindsey died in a horrible accident, Aleece decided to fix her own life and run away from her past. That's when she finds herself in Oakville, and she knows she's going to make this life perfect.
