*This is an AU of the 1944 movie Meet Me in St. Louis so I'll just briefly explain the changes.*
• the movie takes place in 1903-1904 but for my story it will take place during WW1 because I wanted to reimagine this story as if it were a war romance between Esther and John.
• Many minor things here will not be historically accurate but its sole purpose is just for my story, especially with the story being set in the years of WW1, but don't worry, I will give a disclaimer of them after every chapter.
• Although this story will be an AU, I will include some moments from the movie to help carry my story.

Christmas time has arrived in St. Louis and the Smith Family are excited, especially Esther. For she is now already halfway through junior year, and next year, she'll finally be a senior. Then after that, university. When that day comes, she'll finally be an adult.
However, throughout this journey to adulthood, she never expected she would fall in love. Especially with the boy next door.
One afternoon, Esther spies a handsome new neighbor in St. Louis who goes by the name of John Truett, a native of Brooklyn who just moved to St. Louis, and to Esther's surprise, will be transferring to her school in the spring.
As the feelings of these 2 people bloom from learning more about each other with each passing day, their relationship is tested with the interference of war, family traditions, and strict parents.
Can love truly conquer all?

A Sense of Familiarity
A girl has been serving in the church for 6 years now, in 2019 December 16th a man caught her attention thinking that the man seems familiar, turns out that he's just a complete stranger. Days passed, she found herself always looking at the man without her knowing why, this continued until the last day of December and she's not dumb and she knows to herself that she already caught feelings for the man. She knows nothing about the man, his name, his age, his address, everything about him, none. Until January came, she looked around the church-mass is almost starting, but in her disappointment the man didn't show up. What is she feeling? why does she feel so disappointed... or should I say devastated? Unsay naa sa lalaki nganong naka feel siya ani nga mga emotions?. Months had passed since January, there was no trace of the man and she gave up. Until 2020 December 16th came, miraculously the man showed up again and there she is doesn't know what to feel. Happy?
