A teen who never gave up

This story is about a teen named Jelenny. Jelenny has the dream to be a singer, but her mean, old, grumpy father hates music. So if he hears music, he would come to what ever room she's in and whip her as hard as he can until he sees blood. But then one night Jelenny packs up all of her things, jumps out of her window and visits her friends house for 3 weeks, so she can get her head straight.
