Kallie Fitzpatrick has a school year to write about her life, the story of her. The crazy families shes been part of, and her thoughts on really everything. To write about the people that have come and go and the love she once had. "Maybe none of it happens and life is just an hallucination.." She has the facts of her life, in fact she thinks about it all the time. Writing it on paper is the struggle. While she concentrates on her English assignment she is also concentrating on life and her emancipation. At 15 she has a year until she can get out of of this foster home for good.
