"Chelsea..." He says, his deep raspy voice making delightful shivers run down my spine. He stood so close to me. His lips just a breath away from mine. His eyebrows creased in concentration, his stormy eyes staring into mine, as if gazing at my very soul. He was leaning in, bringing his lips closer to mine, but before anything could happen he took a step back.
"You should leave" he says, clenching his jaw. His face masking his emotions.
"Wha-?"
He takes a sharp breath, running his hands through his hair, tugging at it in frustration.
"I'm no good for you and we both know it!" He answers harshly, and then his voice softens, "Face it. I'm bad news, Princess."
"I wish people would stop telling me what is or isn't good for me! I can handle myself, I am well capable of deciding what or who I want in my life!" I huff.
He sighs loudly and runs his hands down his face. Breathing heavily. He turns his back on me and strides down the hall. He's walking away from me. I follow, almost running after him and grab his hand. Pulling him to a stop. He looks down at our interwined hands and looks up at me, his eyes in turmoil. He releases my hand and crossing his arms leans on a row of lockers. His gaze focused solely on me.
"If you don't turn away now, there is no way in hell I'm going to ever want to let you go" he finally admits.
"Then don't let go...I'm not going anywhere" I whisper.
Kade pushes away from the lockers, backing me up against the wall. His strong arms wrap around my waist and with a blissful sigh, he lowers his perfectly soft lips to mine...
