My soul gem was being tainted by love; (shikamaru x magical girl reader)

In leaf city filled with terrifying secrets, we're suffering and happiness lay side by side. Y/n finds herself within a strange new city, and high school and discovers an interesting Group of individuals that call themselves, "magical girls, and magical boys." After being saved by a few of them after y/n wandered into a labyrinth by mistake, you discover the group of individuals in your class that have made a contract with kyubey. These individuals become friends with y/n in hopes that she will join them, but y/n has trouble deciding what her wish will be, will she embark on their same cruel destiny, or will she lose herself trying to change their fates, including shikamaru's.

This story will follow the timeline of the 'Magi récord' series and will include the Dopple system. I have made an interesting change that some may like and that some may not but perhaps that's okay.
My new change will include that kyubey discovers the suffering of a male is stronger to that of a girl in some cases and performs a small experiment. He grants contracts to a small handful of males and grants their powerful wishes making them magical boys. However a male that makes a contract with kyubey never lives long enough to be on par with a veteran magical girl.
