Selene "Strutter" Lang has dreamed of being a naval aviator ever since she first climbed into her uncle's fighter jet when she was just three years old. Jake "Hangman" Seresin has been the best pilot, believed he was the best pilot ever since he first sat behind the controls. Then he meets a girl at a bar. He does what he always does, flirts, mentions his ability to pilot aircraft for the navy, pulls out all the stops, and it just does not seem to work... then, she shows up to Top Gun Academy the next day ready to beat him for the top spot.
Spending every single day, constantly competing with one another, throwing around biting comments... flirting- it just becomes a part of their every day. But what if they want more than just that? What if that competitive streak is just hiding something else?
