I stare at him. Him who I gave everything to. Him who I loved with everything. Him who is staring at me. Eyes unmoving. Eyes hard. No warmth found. I stare back eyes blank. Knowing. He opens his mouth eyes still unmoving. Mouth closes. Smile climbs up the lines of his face to his eyes. He stares behind me...behind me...not at me...behind me.
