Amity Blight prefers being alone.
It's not that she's constantly alone, of course. Her family is usually counted to be around, all just as macabre and fascinatingly morbid as her---though at times, much too optimistic. The schools that she cycles through are usually swarmed with students---though many of them are afraid of her. And she wouldn't mind a pretty girl sweeping her off her feet---though if there are any queer girls her age around, they're rarely interested in her.
So she views it as a curse when a too-bloody revenge prank has her shipped off to Nevermore Academy, a school made for magical outcasts of all sorts. Amity has no time to worry about schoolwork, or classmates, or her infuriatingly cheery (and cute) roommate, too busy focused on finding a way to escape. But when she becomes witness to a brutal murder---and the visions that plague her mind kick into overdrive---she realizes that Nevermore might be the perfect fit for her, after all...
Luckily, she's never been afraid of the dark.

Monsters

20 parts Complete

As the world fell into chaos, Amity Blight only had one thing on her mind, find her family. With monsters of the apocalypse around every corner, this mission is no easy task. But, when all hope is lost, Amity is saved by a cold and brooding stranger. Now that Amity knows how easily it could end for her she'll stop at nothing to not waste this second chance. Though with her new traveling companion being just as mysterious as the group chasing them down, it is certainly not a task for the faint of heart. Especially when she finds out there is more to her companion than she originally thought and she is thrown into something much bigger. Just when I had finally felt myself giving up; the dead surrounding me, what little remained of my hope dissipating, the final thoughts of my life and my family leaving me as well as possibly my life. Something happened I had not been prepared for. Before the dead could finally close in, a figure jumped from above acting as a wall between the monsters and myself. They looked back, yet all I could see were red eyes.
