"you see that island in the distance?" HIs father asked his arm pointed towards the shadow in the distance.
"yeh?" Liam responded questioningly.
"we-" his father started to talk but he was cut off erupting in to a fit of coughs, the virus slowly starting to claim him "  well if you are ever in trouble, get there anyway you can, and say you're an Osborne"

Liam looked over at his father, his skin was already scarred, the thin layer of yellow spores sinking in. A tears welled up in his eyes and started to spill down his cheeks.
"I'll be gone soon, son," his father muttered "I love you."
"Love you too, dad." He pulled his dad to his chest and watched as his eyes slowly lose light, and breathes grow deeper.

At evening, you gazed at the sunset admiring the golden colors of the sky until they faded into a stary blue and black sky. suddenly, there were kids (your age) peeping out of the grass/bushes in red shirts, it was strange how they were dressed the same color but you didn't care, you gave them a friendly wave until a strange sound that sounded like technology and mechanical moans came from there bodies, they acted pretty odd for kids, suddenly they transformed into hardware robots with a cake shaped body, a dome shaped head that looked like an army tank, and a pipe for a mouth, they grabbed you by the arms one also held your mouth shut and took you into what looked like an Airship?

He eagerly bit into the fruit and its juices trickled down his chin. He sat back and relaxed as the food nourished his body, he drank of its juices and picked out its many seeds, collecting them. He dug a deep hole until he felt moisture in the soil, planting the seeds into the ground. As it grew over time, the man used the old tree to build his home around the new one, tending to it religiously until it beared fruit. He brought his family and they lived there, planting trees and passing on the seeds for other places to spring life. Within five years the drought was over, Elysium was breathing again."

It used to calm him down, singing soft lullabies whenever nightmares haunted him, or telling stories to him and his brother. It was the only comfort he could rely on. And he ended it before it could poison him. Silence filled the vast empty space.
