Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations.
