Esmeralda's entire family was killed by a vampire in the 1900s. She though she was a goner until she woke up to find that she and her family were all still walking the earth.
Together they pledged to only drink animal blood and to stay to themselves until they could control their thirst. A small vampire called Alice came to Esmeralda to warn her. On August 1st of 2012 she would move to a town called Forks where she and her brother would attend the high school. There she would find her mate and her life would be comeplete.
