Fortune favours the brave. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. All's well that ends well. Three adages, all borne out of similar beginnings. Their sole purpose being to obscure reality by hiding the detrimental influence of questionable actions under the guise of virtue. In fact, they often advocate for the notion that obstacles merely strengthen desire rather than hinder progress.

Yet, such perceptions ignore the multi-faceted nature of life in their necessity for simplism. Instead, these adages tempt the masses with the allure of uncomplicated dichotomy governed by extremes. After all, a life where each question has only two responses is far easier than the plethora offered by reality. Left or right? Good or bad? Live or die?

What happens when one deviates from the beaten path of supposed normalcy?

What happens when one wants to confront the unfamiliar and take the road untravelled?

What happens when one wants a life beyond these simplistic adages?
