How can the citizens already recognize him, when he can't even recognize himself? And why are there women who have taken a particular interest in him, one with power, and one with seeming compassion, a woman installed in his world, but to what end? To spy, or to pacify?
He has but two choices, to be obedient, or to go against the grain, with dangerous implications. Can he solve the riddle of The Newlander, and find a way out...
