Magical Hair

Magical Hair is a short story about a woman who struggles with societal pressure to conform to Eurocentric beauty standards and the damage it causes to her. After a traumatizing experience with a hair straightening treatment, she decides to embrace her natural hair and discovers a newfound sense of beauty and self-acceptance. Through her journey, she learns about the history of racism and oppression surrounding beauty standards and ultimately embraces her African heritage with pride.
