Namun, semangat melukis nya terus dipatahkan oleh kedua orang tua nya. Mereka lebih suka Dani melakukan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan agama, daripada melukis yang menurut mereka tidak ada gunanya. Dani selalu dipukul, dan dimarahi oleh kedua orang tua nya, ketika mereka melihat Dani sedang melukis.

Salah satu orang yang mendukung Dani adalah kakak laki-laki nya, yaitu Raffi. Raffi selalu membeli peralatan melukis untuk Dani, agar dia lebih semangat lagi dalam melukis.
