the war has ended in japan, leaving the country in a state. ena's father was killed during the war, and her brother akito is yet to return, causing her mother to go into a great state of depression. ena is fairly popular at school, but feels extremely empty inside. she encounters a light-hearted person, mizuki, who seems too happy and too calm about the situation. what if mizuki is hiding something? what if, under those clouded eyes, there is a void of regret and secrecy?

9,4k words ------------------------------------------------- If dealing with the sudden dissapearence of your best friend wasn't enough, now you have to deal with the weight of what you could've done. Ena has been breaking her head ever since that day. If she acted different or said something diferent... What could she even say to her? Maybe she'd figure it out when the right time comes. BEFORE YOU READ: I started writing this before Ena5 dropped. I could just well put like an au tag or something but I don't feel like puting my original ending onto here after seeing the event.
