A noblewoman in disgrace, three countries on the brink of war, a fierce military dragon and his clever, handsome mate...lives forever changed and nations reforged! Baroness Agadart ver Kleelan of Kaaltendt escapes certain execution by way of working with Queen Theaedra's operatives to take down her own traitorous husband. It was a political marriage to start and it ended ignobly mired in the politics of powerful forces battling for supremecy. Exiled to serve anonymously in the much-maligned Dragon Maids Auxilary Corps as nothing more than a servant to the dragons of Kaaltendt, she braces for a life of hardship and loneliness...but at least she managed to survive. Agadart is sent to apprentice herself at the remote Fort Endestern, which is the farthest aerie in the land of Kaaltendt, sitting on a rocky cliff on the easternmost shores of the continent. It is also where the foreign-born dragon Duke Rodgardae Leonteinparre, on loan from his country the Isle of Watt as part of a complicated political and military agreement with Kaaltendt, has been newly stationed as the Fort Master of Endestern. His mate and guardian, Mani Roki, is also a stranger in a strange land. As Emperor Rhezv of the distant but massive country of Iskaryyva rattles his sabre, threatening both the Isle of Watt and Kaaltendt with his crazed quest for world domination, Agadart finds herself in a complicated dance with two men who see something more in her than she ever expected might exist. Can their blossoming love survive a cataclysmic war? Can Agadart escape the Dragon Maids Corps to find happiness? And where is the long lamented, missing Queen Dragon of Watt?

(under revision) Caitlyn was the only heir to the throne born because her mother passed away. Left to live in the shadows of her castle, her father only worried about teaching her what he believed was important to rule. He didn't remarry to try for a son, bitter and more powerful than ever. Because he had nothing to lose, not even his own daughter at times. Caitlyn and him drifted apart even more than they were before. Especially as he started treating her solely as an object for his use. Leading her to need some type of escape, some type of fun again. And as her skills in her shot, her strength, and her wit increased. So did her confidence and her will to win, leading her to start sneaking out of the castle gates. Almost every night scaling the buildings and walls to watch the night life in the upper city. Until one night when an incident occurs, causing her to accidentally run into someone. Revealing herself to a complete stranger. Knowing full well that a predicament would arise if that ever happened, she fumbles her way through compromise and bargains to get off easy. But of course, life throws you curve balls and nothing is ever easy. But maybe...maybe that's for the better. ⚠️This is a mature story with mature themes and scenes.
