One Wrong Choice
This is a Red Dead Redemption 2 Fan-fic. Arthur Morgan x Female Y/n (Reader) Life is pretty simple as a rich woman. No, let me try that again. Life is pretty simple as woman married to a rich man. Stay silent unless spoken too, dress with only the latest fashion, don't do anything unlady-like, and remain faithful to your husband. No matter what. Heaven forbid a happily married, high society woman of any respectability be found going against any of these rules. Good thing then, you are not a happily married woman; and when a group of outlaws makes a sudden appearance in your dreary city of Saint Denis, you happily break every single rule in the book. This story will not follow strictly along the lines of Red Dead Redemption 2 but I will do my best to do every character the justice they deserve. With the West slowly transformed into a civilized hellhole, they are forced to move in all directions despite the place they wanted to return to most. Grimly aware that the age of outlaws may be up, Arthur does what he can under Dutch to get money for their escape, all according to plan... Until a detour. Stuck in a rut of her own, the independent, God-fearing, and wistful Summer Grace Monroe has been searching for her own place in life. After being scorned by lovers and in and out of jobs, she feels amiss her late twenties without a true home. She finds the most peace in her church and helping those in need, especially the local Native population. Her father, Captain Monroe, works within the Army as a voice for those being silenced. She helps others find their story, but what would be her own? Things all seem to take a turn when fate brings a chance encounter, permanently altering whatever path her life was going to take and intertwining her destiny with that of a notorious group of outlaws - yet she would not be the only one whose path would be changed. **This story will contain mature content such as violence/gore, sexual themes, and language.
