She could hear the pots singing from downstairs. She finally got rid of the urge to lie down and chose to sit on the edge of her bed. In front of her was a dusty glass window, she looked at the clear sky and unknowingly she remembered the night that started it all. It was three years ago, the rain was pouring hard and the whole house was cold. Katherine woke up due to Timothy's cry from her parents room. She got off from her bed and went to her parents room across from hers. She slowly opened the door and took a peek and found him, crying due to the coldness of the weather. She placed him in her arms to keep him warm and hummed a lullaby to put him into sleep. As the minutes passed, she finally put him back in his crib and heard someone outside. She went to the tall glass window only to see her mother screaming, with her clothes drenched in the rain. The familiar van started its engines and drove away. The familiar van, owned by her father has already hit the road. She asked herself if her father will ever come back. Timothy cried again, she took him in her arms and went downstairs. When she arrived in the living room, she saw her mother. Blankly looking at the paper placed on the mahogany table, she drew closer to her as she muttered words. "He's gone."

"You left. You left when you found out I was pregnant. Coward." I seethed staring into his brown eyes, the left side of his face bruised from the beating he took earlier. "We could have lived a happy life. We would have made it through. You just didn't have any hope. None for our family." Player 333 x. F. Oc #1 in seonggihun #1 in squidgames2 #1 in player 456
