On October 10th, someone else was there when Minato summoned the Shinigami; Szayel Aporro Grantz. Intrigued by what the people in this new dimension can do, Szayel stole Naruto after the Kyuubi was sealed inside him. Because of this, the contract with the Shinigami became void and Minato and Kushina survived.

12 years later, Naruto returned. Damaged and different, but returned all the same. Now, what's Konoha to do with a boy that wields the power of the Shinigami and is raised by an Espada?
