"You need power only when you want to do something harmful. Otherwise, love is enough to get everything done." -Charlie Chaplain

Alden Wainright didn't know she was a Witch. In fact, she didn't even know that such people existed. All she'd known for the past fifteen years of her life was the Muggle orphanage that she lived in and the fact that she could sometimes, seemingly, make strange things happen.

When the inquiry and research of the Orphanage director lead to the Ministry of Magic discovering Alden, she is immediately whisked off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to begin her magical training...as a fifth-year student.

Little does she know, her life is more complicated than she originally thought. Not only does Alden have a special ability to see and wield an ancient magic, her new friendships with other Hogwarts students bring their own challenges...

Especially Slytherin student Sebastian Sallow. Not only do the two of them share new and complicated feelings for each other, Sebastian's desperation to save his twin sister, and his insistence on using dark magic to do so, puts both of them in dangerous and highly immoral situations. With Alden being a Hufflepuff, known for their kindness and morality, she is forced to make a decision;

Can she stop Sebastian from going too far? Or will love be enough to save him from the darkness inside of himself?

A comprehensive guide on how to turn the good guys bad. Canon divergent, slow burn, mutual pining, idiots in love. ~x~ Aurélie Collins wishes she were invisible. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts to be normal, there are a great many unusual things about the red-haired girl from France. She's the only transfer student Hogwarts has seen in recent memory, she has an absolutely abysmal sense of direction, and - though she desperately wishes she couldn't - she can wield an ancient and highly unstable form of rare magic. When tragedy rips her from her life of opulence at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Aurélie is unceremoniously thrust into the freezing cold Scottish Highlands to finish her final year at Hogwarts, where the castle's floor plan is impossible to navigate, obsession with gossip runs prevalent among the student body, and it's freezing bloody cold - all the time. Worse still, she finds herself unable to escape the unwavering attention of Sebastian Sallow. Tall, handsome and infuriatingly arrogant, the Slytherin Quidditch captain is convinced he's the greatest thing to ever walk the halls of Hogwarts, is best friends with a Gaunt, and, to Aurélie's endless irritation, does not want to let her out of his sight. Ever. But when the horrors of her past threaten to catch up with her, Aurélie must make a choice: tap into the magical abilities she's tried so hard to suppress her whole life and put her trust in the very same Slytherin boy who won't stop antagonising her, or spend her life running and hiding from those who tore her life apart in France. Will she step into the power she was born to wield to protect herself and those she loves? And will Sebastian Sallow prove himself to be more of an ally than she could have ever imagined?

''You seriously need to stop calling me your friend,'' Sebastian tells me in a low voice. ''Then what should I call you?'' I ask curiously. My stomach is fluttering like never before. ''I haven't quite figured it out just yet. But 'friend' is not it.'' He says as he squeezes my hand harder. ---- Sebastian Sallow x reader, a love story. When the summer between Y/n's 5th and 6th year at Hogwarts, she cannot stop thinking about Sebastian Sallow, despite the horrible things he did last year. She knows that what happened should have been the end of their relationship, but for some reason she does not consider it to be over. In fact, Y/n is unsure of her feelings towards him. Something about him just makes her feel like home. During their 6th year their relationship develops further, while facing new obstacles. One night Y/n discovers something that could mean the end of the wizarding world that requires help of Sebastian as well as Ominis. This is a story about love, friendship, betrayal and sacrifices. ---- Note: This takes place after the end of the game Hogwarts Legacy, but uses characters from the game. I do not own any of the characters. In this story Y/n was put in Slytherin and chose to become a keeper. This fanfiction also takes some inspiration from the Harry Potter-books, I do not own these characters either. Spoiler warning: Contains spoilers from the game Hogwarts Legacy as well as some potential spoilers from the Harry Potter-books.
