Waking up in a fictional world really is a fascinating situation- and would you look at that, you've found yourself immediately thrown into the plot. How incredibly lucky. If you had internet access, your google search history would probably look like: 'what happens if you get isekaied years before the plot', 'what if you get isekaied into an abusive family' and 'what do you do if you're an existing character's twin sister?' You've got your work cut out for you. Isn't it a shame you were always doomed from the start?

A Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fanfic. Bandit was just a human boy before he woke up in this strange new world, without any memories of his life as a human to boot. Now he's a Nickit, which means others are suspicious of him because of the reputation Nickit have for thievery in the area. He quickly finds himself in a tough spot upon entering this world, before he is rescued by a Vulpix who very soon starts crushing on him. He finds a home in a nearby village, gets settled in, and starts going to school, but trouble always finds a way of reaching him one way or another. No matter how comfortable he gets, he can't get around all these questions. Who was he before he became a Pokémon? How did he get here? Why can't he remember anything? The answers are bigger than he could have imagined.
