During Harry's second year, the incident and rumor about Harry being "The Heir of Slytherin" has reached Fudge. And being the normal paranoid man he is, he sent Aurors to arrest the boy. Harry pleaded not guilty and begged Dumbledore for help. But, Dumbledore ignored the boy in fear of losing his job. His so called friends did nothing and only avoided and neglected him for as long as they can.

So, Emily left to Romania with Charlie, but not for the same reason as Charlie. While Emily lived in Romania with Charlie, she did not follow the same career path. Charlie worked with dragons, and Emily decided to be a babysitter for wizards and witches. The money was great, which made her wonder why Dumbledore believed she was incompetent of raising Harry. She wanted him to have the best, but she'd never be able to see him. When she does finally meet him once again, not everything is going to be all sunshine and rainbows...
