The Principal Clause

Short story inspired from a yt short by DannyPhantomexe ^^ cuz people liked a story about a gay teacher married to a male principal. It's my take on it, not completely the same lol.

Thomas Sanderson was a handful. Strict, overbearing, and quite plainly an arsehole. But if he was anything worthwhile, then he was a damn good teacher. His attitude, however, was far from favored by those around him and it was not from a lack of trying that everyone thought him too stern. Thomas found himself paying the price for that when the school he worked at appointed a new principal, one who was less than keen on keeping him employed...

Frederick Heath was a typical golden boy. Well, the title had fit better during his school days. Now, he could be considered the epitome of a perfect and peerless man. He had reached a level of success most only dreamed of achieving, all at less than forty years of age. His position as principal was set, his peers simultaneously envied and respected him, and he was better than well off. What more could a career-driven person want in life?

As if a golden retriever meeting a black cat, friendship was indubitably out-of-question for the two, with tensions arising faster than a dust storm. Each would raise their hackles, outstretch their claws, and throw testy fits or intense stare downs until one of the two eventually gave in. All that was left to be witnessed was the loser's inevitable downfall.

There would always be someone to submit and another being submitted to, though that begged the question of which man would be in which position. Perhaps the loser, served with his just comeuppance, would be forced to shift their once grievance-filled encroachments into hasty touches, disturbingly curious yet deliberately gentle. Was this a spell for disaster or the makings of an ambiguous, love-filled future..?
