What if....Foxface survived?
Hello, fello Hunger Games fans! This is my first Wattpad fanfic, and I'm happy to share it with you. this story follows a popular discussion topic: what if Foxface survived the 74th annual Hunger Games? How could she survive? Would she win the Games? How would the Rebellion fare without the Mockingjay? Find out here!
DISCLAIMERS: This characterization and portrayal of events is entirely fanmade and is not meant to offend or be taken seriously. I hope you all enjoy the story, but if you don't, please do not lose respect for Suzanne Collins or her amazing book and movie series Hunger Games as they are very well made. The characterization of Foxface is my design drawing inspiration from the books and movies. Please also keep in mind that this story will have VIOLENCE, DEATH, CORRUPTION, WAR, AND OTHER HARSH REALITIES. I would strongly advise the viewers be at least of teenage age before reading. The 136th Hunger Games
When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. This work follows The Hunger Games book from the POV of an OC. Some of the plot will be changed and/or dialogue will be different. I will be following the original plot from the book as closely as possible, with some variations of differing scenes or text due to the OC insert. Thus, the world, most of the characters in this fic, most of the plot, and dialogue, belongs to and is owned by Suzanne Collins. All rights are to the creators of the hunger games series. This work will span through the first book in The Hunger Games Trilogy, and I hope to create others in the future that insert Willow into the other two books as well. Disclaimer: There will likely be some stuff in this fic that are cliche within Hunger Games fics. Also note: there's a last name naming convention for abandoned and orphaned children that is used throughout the districts. Willow's last name is Fairchild because of this. Fairchild is the most common surname for orphans, and is known throughout the districts to be for an orphaned or abandoned person. ALSO IMPORTANT: In this fanfic, Peeta and Katniss are aged up to 18, everybody else's ages are staying the same, don't come for me pls.
