The Circus was beautiful, but in a desperate way. It was as if everyone was holding their breath; like time might collapse in on itself at any moment. And Shar knew that, in this world, it could. But she was bound to her trade, bound to a life that could never have a happy ending. Perhaps the story is futile, but from the first moment the man with the orange eyes both doomed and blessed Shar with the life of a performer, her path was set. (ON HIATUS)
