Returning from his home from Nome, Alaska, to the town where he grew up in all of his life as a street dog, Dobermann/Rottweiler mix Buster encounters visions of his past where he was abandoned by his first owners. Ever since he was somewhat betrayed by his first owners and held a grudge against Tramp falling for Lady, he somehow gained remorse and realized that his life as a house dog was worth it. Gaining trust with Steele, Bridget, Sonja, and his other dog allies, he now has an opportunity to express his former friend Tramp on how he felt. But before doing so, he discovers grouchy Aunt Sarah plotting to rid of all dogs and force the government to allow cats in everyone's homes, whether they like it or not. It's up to Buster and his newfound friends, family, and allies to stop the elderly woman and her pet twin cats from banning dogs.
