It's all the same thing, transphobic comments... the hate and pain Rachel Kayama had to endure. It's all been the same since she came out as transgender and accepted who she is. She thought it was enough, She thought she'd finally be happy. She thought everyone would be... But it's not enough... is it? When will it be enough? Rachel Kayama is only seventeen years old, yet knows more about the world than everyone else in her grade; how cruel people can be; how selfish they can be. How hateful they can be. Will she learn to ignore them? Or let it kill her from the inside out One day, Rachel found someone who cares about her and would do just about anything just to make her smile. But she still fears that once again, she'll be betrayed and heartbroken. that everything will just go downhill. What would happen if her world comes crashing again? What if Anubis really doesn't care? What if his guy friends dared him to date her for laughs and giggles? Could Rachel take another heartbreak? Or would she finally reach her breaking point and take matters to her own cold hands. 🚩RATED MATURE FOR ABUSE, STRONG LANGUAGE, ALCOHOL, SMOKING, SEXUAL THEMES, AND DEPRESSION This is my first book with hopes of publication. Zora

Growing up is difficult. The body goes through changes. Hormones mess with you. Everyone gets bullied at one point by someone. For Zora, it was worse. Not only was she bullied at school, she was bullied at home, abused by her father. She was a disgrace in everyone's eyes. Constantly suffering, she needed something that would give her hope and make her feel good about herself. Though it caused her to be bullied even more, she didn't care. She would live her life out and proud as a woman, despite how everyone saw her as a man. Hope meant nothing to her until the day her father died, prompting her to move in with her mother and stepbrother in New York, away from her transphobic community in Georgia. But moving didn't mean everything would suddenly get better. Dealing with transphobic bullies and a stepbrother who doesn't understand who she is, Zora worried she'd always endure constant ridicule. But moving somewhere new could lead to better things, like an accepting mother, friends, and a boy who finds her to be the most beautiful girl alive. Change meant new things were going to come, and if the world wasn't going to change for her, she'd have to change it herself.
