Attachment has always been forbidden to the Jedi. It had always been a risk - one that had led many to the Dark Side. Hence why he was never told the truth, even after the fall of the Order. 

Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is shattered after his former padawan, Anakin Skywalker, turns to the dark side. All his grief from his losses during and after the war leaves him broken and without purpose...at least, it did at first. 

What would happen if he stumbled upon a surviving youngling while in the temple and took her with him?  Would he find purpose again in taking her in? And what would happen if he found out about her past, one that she isn't even aware of?
