Prince Maven Calore was always the shadow to his older brother's flame and has always craved the feeling of power. With a plan set in motion to overthrow his brother, he can't help but constantly obsess over his old child friend who is now engaged to his older brother.

"Do you want me to live?" I choke the words out, nearly a sob, head pounding. Maven steps into my cell and this time I do not move away.
