When Tsugikuni Yoriichi's only surviving child is taken from him in a way too cruel, becoming a demon is the only choice he is left with. Which results in the premature death of Muzan Kibutsuji. Yet, with the new Demon King being immune to both sunlight and nichirin blades, the Demon Slayer Corps must continue to exist. Must continue to persist. Must continue to fight on.

And so, Tsugikuni Midori finds a new purpose in life.

For example, some characters might not die and the overall ending might be a bit happier. There will be angst and a lot of it because I don't want to fully mess around with the story, but there will be plenty of fluff too.
