choi yeonjun is a horror novelist who has been haunted by dreams of a wicked entity that manifested as an old man who claimed to be the husband of evil, punishing and torturing him in his sleep in the most unimaginable ways, since he was a young child. he begins writing and publishing books about it in an attempt to get the destructive spirit out of his head, but yeonjun's nightmares then become reality as he is lured back to his hometown, where everything started.

and when everything seems to crumble around him as he drowns in darkness, despair and tons of alcohol, a small glint of light in the shape of a humanly figure slips through the cracks and brings some hope along with him.
