"I've... well, I've been seeing someone," Chat admitted, his cheeks flushing slightly. "It's been strange because for so long, I thought I was in love with you."
Ladybug paused, caught off guard. She leaned in. "Oh? Who's the lucky person?"
Chat scratched his head, flustered. "I don't want to say too much, but she's amazing-funny, kind, talented, and real. I can be myself around her."
Ladybug smiled, her heart warming. "That sounds wonderful, Chat. I'm glad you've found someone like that."
Chat grinned, a bit sheepish. "It was unexpected. I had these strong feelings for you for so long, but now I realize it was more admiration."
Ladybug's heart skipped a beat. Chat had been infatuated with her, but she had never been able to return his feelings.
"That's a good realization, Chat," Ladybug said gently. "I know what it's like to think you're in love, only to realize maybe it wasn't."
Chat's eyes brightened. "Wait, are you... seeing someone too?"
Ladybug nodded. "Yes. I've been spending time with someone. He's thoughtful, always makes me smile. I think I'm falling for him."
Chat's eyes widened in surprise, but he smiled genuinely. "That's amazing, m'lady! You deserve that."
"Thanks, Chat." Ladybug smiled. "I think we've both grown, realizing we needed to open up to others, to find happiness beyond our masks."
He nodded. "For the longest time, I thought being in love with you was my only option, but now, she makes me feel something I didn't know I could. I think I'm falling in love with her."
Ladybug said softly, "She's lucky to have you. I'm happy for you, Chat."
Chat flashed a grin. "Thanks, m'lady. But you haven't told me much about your guy. Is he as amazing as you?"
Ladybug laughed. "He's great. We've known each other for a while. We used to be friends, but over time, I started seeing him differently."
Chat's eyes gleamed. "A longtime friend, huh? That's interesting. How did you two start going out?"

A Little Bit of Bad Luck
In this AU, Félix and Marinette's characters are based on the ones from the Miraculous anime PV that was never made (extra explanation of MCs in prologue). Additionally, there is a focus of side characters such as Gabriel, Nathalie, and Chloé (all these characters are based on the canon cartoon). This story takes place in the world of the cartoon but I have added some elements of the anime and my own spin on things. It's mostly plot and romance with occasional action. Excerpt below. **************** "Even if we experience a thousand different futures, I'd still probably fall in love with you, over and over again," he whispered, taking his last breath. His head felt heavy in her hands. Marinette inhaled sharply, feeling the pain in her chest. This can't be real. It can't. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Marinette stood away from the others on the hillside outside, staring at the crumbling building from afar. The air was thick with smoke and the atmosphere glowed orange. "You can't leave, Félix. I can't do this without you," she whispered as tears welled in her eyes. Alya and Nino hadn't come out of the building yet, and Marinette feared the worst. Tears began to spill out, streaming down her face. "I need to take your memories, Marinette," Time Capsule said. "Let's make sure none of the other versions of ourselves have to live through this future." Marinette nodded and let her extract her memories. !!! Spoilers for Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 Finale !!! "I don't know, what if you're Felix?" Ladybug breathed heavily, signaling an oncoming panic attack. "If you're gonna trust me once, please let it be this time." Adrien urged her as he stood in the door frame, his tone was gentle but urgent, and he shut the door. Ladybug collapsed and called off her transformation, revealing her civilian self. Her chest heaved with heavy sobs that escaped her body and she lowered herself to the floor. Tightening her arms around herself, she cried out. - He took a deep breath in, held it and then released it. He repeated it a second time. "I'm sorry, Ladybug. I can't just listen to you cry." He threw open the door, his eyes shut tightly. He lowered himself to the floor in front of her, settling down on his knees and extending his arms outwards. He kept his eyes shut and listened for any movement from her. - "You're not alone through this." Ladybug and Chat noir are sorta in disguise so they don't know each other's identity. Marinette is a girl who is Ladybug under the mask. She has an uncontrollable affection towards the famous teen model, Adrien. Adrien, in the other hand, is Chat noir himself. While he was Chat noir, he fell in love with a dazzling beautiful girl named Ladybug. So, it's a mixed up four square relationship. Oh, who's Tikki and Plagg? Being superheroes is a privilege given by mysterious, magical creatures called Kwamis. Tikki is Ladybug's Kwami, supporting Marinette. And Plagg is Chat noir's Kwami, a Camembert cheese maniac. Marnette is an average everyday girl with a superhero friend and a super secret. She is ladybug. One day Chat finds out Ladybug's identity and was surprised to find out that Mari his sweet princess is Ladybug. Soon Marnette finds out by Plagg that Chat loved Ladybug not the real Marnette. They have a big fight because of what Plagg said and Mari is mad at Chat for two months and Chat was so hurt during that time but Plagg never told him the truth. Things just kind of got out of control. ------------------------------------------ "What's wrong?" He asked worried, "Why are you here when you should be at school." I looked at him, I opened my mouth but nothing came out so I closed it. "What happened?"
