I finished this story in nanowrimo, 2015, and I haven't looked back since. Sorry to the one person (maybe?) who may have been holding up hope for a sequel or an edit No, you aren't getting one. ----- "Of course I don't. I'm just stating the obvious." "b) I could run away," He paused again for a moment, weighing up the options. "Or finally, c) I could help the pretty girl in the story get away from the thug." Brendan scoffed mockingly once again. "And which option would you choose, ballet boy?" "Well," he turned his head to wink at Ciara. "Who can't resist saving a damsel in distress?" ----- Kyran is a Demon. Born and bred in the depths of Edom, a dimension of hell, his father granted him a job - to kill the Ordinary Dead. It just so happens that his first assignment is Ciara Hunter, a beautiful girl Kyran could not dare to assassinate. What happens when a reaper finds they cannot summon the ability to kill? ----- I feel like writing this terrible novel was the low point in my life. Read if you must. Before you read the summary, I want you to know that this isn't a story about paranormal beings falling in love, with each other or ordinary people. It is about the horrifying and unusual consequences caused be love. "How?" You may wonder...well I guess you'll just have to read and find out. An AU of the series Chainsaw Man with the main character Denji replaced by my popular cosmic traveling OC named James Ann Russomanno Da Sicilia. Currently posted on Wattpad, Webnovel, and in the process of being published on Royal Road (If my request is finally accepted..) Always in search of adventure and intriguing opportunities, our seemingly young man finds himself in the world shared by humanity and Devils. After dispatching the Zombie Devil, James meets a mysterious but strangely alluring woman by the name of Makima. A generous offer is made to defend the public from Devils, to which he is unknowingly sucked into a span of time that will test his sanity. This idea comes from the thought of having a more sophisticated and compassionate character take the main stage, able to have proper conversation and make genuine bonds. The chaotic ideas swirling in my mind have inspired me to explore the depths of character connections, particularly branching out from Denji. For instance, Himeno is an intriguing character, yet her departure prevents a deeper bond from forming with Denji. While her tragic end adds weight to the narrative, James, in contrast, thrives on forging connections, and I envision meaningful conversations between him and her before the end. To counterbalance the despair, he will also experience lighter, more wholesome moments with the vibrant cast-some surprises await! This opens up vast possibilities for the story. Lives that seem lost may be saved, while others that appear secure could be taken away. New scenes could emerge to enrich the lore of The Cosmic Traveler. I eagerly anticipate this journey through action, tragedy, morality, manipulation, betrayal, and the complexities of a world where humanity and Devils inevitably clash around one man with the power to either cultivate peace or unleash controlled chaos.
