What if Kokichi and Shuichi were the ones who won the killing game but it turned out that it was just a simulation? They got the money, all of them got into hopes peak but there was a catch: Shuichi and Kokichi had to remember the killing game. And being awful at communicating, the PTSD and their crippling low self-esteem, the spiral begins: they would do anything -and I mean anything- to forget the killing game.
