All Daena has ever known is the underground library her family has been entrusted to guard for generations. It holds all the history and secrets of Enneduin. And she ought to have received decades of training to take her father's place as the Bookkeeper of Enneduin. But when he dies, she is left to teach herself all that lies in the corridors of knowledge beneath the city of Aerlond.

All Firan has ever known is combat and training in King Garrick's army. He learned to wield a sword before he could read and has earned the respect from his men that decades of training demand. His path is well situated towards achieving the highest rank in the army. So the last thing he could have foreseen was being removed from battlefields to stand guard in the dusty, silent halls of the Library of Enneduin.

When the Bookkeeper and the warrior are forced to work together to eliminate a threat to Aerlond's peace, they will find that all they have ever known is nowhere near enough.

The outposts are one thing, fey court is another entirely. With an inherited title she didn't earn and massive shoes to fill, Niamh tries to adjust to fey court. Dwendardian's forces are bombarding the castle, demanding Niamh's head for their leader. The harder she trains, the less adequate she feels, not in the least when her growing power only seems to be present when Eamon's annoying her. There is very little difference between love, lust and obsession. But, there is more than looming threats to the safety of all realms; the king's sons are caught in their own games and aren't averse to getting someone killed. While Eamon reminds himself his feelings for Niamh go no further than a simple fey obsession, he is still involved in the tug of war for power among the king's children. Fey obsession is a dangerous thing... So, oaths are formed and relationships tested as Niamh and Eamon are forced to hide away with the hope the fey can draw the fomorians away from Elfhaven. There, their own relationship is tested as Niamh gives in to her attraction to him. ...and, Eamon's will not be the only oath broken. But, once the threat is passed and they are back among others, Eamon is cold, distant, and his oath is near broken. But, not as broken as Killian, who senses the connection now forged between Eamon and Niamh. In faery, friend and foe hangs on a single whim. As Niamh continues to learn more about her fey heritage, she will come to see that there are many layers to the fey psyche. Adrenaline pumped in my veins as I pressed myself against the large tree trunk, hoping the darkness would conceal me from my impending doom. My heart hammered against my ribs and cold sweat gathered at my palms and chest. His armor clanked and clinked, scraping against itself as he grew closer and closer... Then silence. "Come out little rabbit." The voice was deep and menacing, and I would've soiled myself right there if I were any younger. I couldn't see very well, but I could see what little moonlight that filtered through the trees reflected off a pale face. His gaze was like a hungry, crazed wolf hunting its prey. "Found you." *** Roselena is satisfied with helping her father run his printing business in her childhood village, but in the face of kingdom rising against kingdom, she finds herself thrown into a world of political tensions, magical beings, and the plot of a God. She struggles to define who she is, what she believes, and who she can trust. Worst of all, she seems to have been snared by a cruel King who can't seem to leave her alone. In a world going up in flames, Roselena can only hope to find mercy amongst the burning fire. Warning: Themes of SA, religion, human sacrifice, gore, and some explicit language.
