At the age of 5 Sterling was taken by Hydra from an orphanage. Being tortured and trained how to be a winter soldier for 10 years. At the age of 15 they eventually ran away to find help. There they ran into Tony and Pepper. Where they were eventually adopted into the family.

For 3 years they helped Tony, Nat, Steve and many others find people just like them. At the age of 18 they finally found more. There they met Bucky Barnes. Someone just like them. While helping him escape they got injured and broke 2 ribs. Bucky noticing they were injured came to their rescue and carried them out of the base.

After 1 year of getting to know Bucky they eventually became his partner. Tony doesn't fully approve of their relationship as they have only known each other for 1 year after Bucky saved them. Knowing this Bucky made sure to prove to Tony that he was right for them.

Sterling still has nightmares due to the torture that they endured while Hydra was experimenting with them and many others. They go to therapy along with Bucky to help get rid of them and have a PTSD dog to help them when in need. When helping her father around the campus she normally helps her dad makes suites when Bucky is off with Steve on missions as she didn't feel ready enough to go back to doing missions again.

Throughout this story you will join Sterling on their journey through trauma, PTSD, love and more. Hope you're ready for the emotional rollercoaster reading this.
