Hockey is a game of chance: lucky bounces at the right time, being in the right spot on the ice, and hoping that the defender can't catch up. David Steele believed his luck left him the moment he stepped off the ice to face life as a teen dad instead of pursue his hockey career. Until being in the right spot at the right time changed everything he knew about his past, his future, and everything he ever knew about himself. (CW: Themes of alcoholism) IMPORTANT: This is an AU spin-off of another work with David Steele. Some friends and I play Dungeons and Dragons together and these are our characters that we like to make AU's for. Ron belongs to my friend Bridget, as does the character Ronnie. This started as us joking about what if David wasn't straight and also played hockey, a shared sport we enjoy, and things unfolded from there. Bradley belongs to my friend AshtonPritchard (wattpad handle) who very graciously let me involve him in a few hockey fights.
