Natalie Flores is a strong headed, independent woman who has alway told herself to never depend on any man. She has been through more in her 17 years of living than most people have in their entire life. Her head is always in a book, but she's not as innocent as she looks. She's smart, but doesn't trust easily. Her past has takes a huge toll on her present and she blames herself for most of what happened. That's why when Liam King takes an interest in her, she thinks it's a joke. A sick game he is playing with her.
Liam King is a football god. Every girl falls head over heels for him. So you can imagine his surprise when Natalie turned him away. He was mesmerized by everything she would do. The way she talked. The way she always had her head in a book. Even the way she would turn him down. He loved it. He has spent his entire life trying to be better than his father, starting with treating his girl the right way.
When they first met, he thought she was a spit fire. Her crude remarks towards him only made his interest in her grow. He wondered why she was that way. What made her build up that steep wall? He told her about his past, he just hopes she can trust him with hers too.

I've never told anyone this before and when I finally do, to Daniel Tyson, he gets more mad than I have ever seen anyone in my whole life. His body snaps towards me; his normally bright eyes are dark and full of emotion and his face is hard with anger. "Why didn't you tell me?!" Danny exclaims, making me flinch. "I'm so sorry, I thought-" I sob and his hands wrap around my wrist and yank. "You thought what?!" More hot tears go down my face. "I-" "You thought that I wouldn't care? That I wouldn't understand?
