Asher Finch finds out about his childhood friend, Evangeline Rae's diagnosis of breast cancer. Asher does not leave her side, even though they hadn't talked in years, he doesn't care, he stays with her though everything. Evangeline understands that this puts him in such a hard position, his mom passed away years ago when they were little. From breast cancer. As Asher starts being part of Evangeline's life again, the whole situation is very triggering, especially for him. Everyone walks on eggshells, which is hard for Evangeline as she also tries to pretend everything is fine and will be ok, but yet she is the one who has cancer, and is struggling with it all. 

Throughout the story Asher and Evangeline go through the ups and downs of her cancer diagnosis, and later treatment. This story my be very triggering, but is meant to raise awareness, and support woman who had, or have cancer. Their relationship shows the beauty of love and the growth that can happen because of hard times.
