Two vampire kingdoms are at war, the Midnight Kingdom and the Redmoon Kingdom. Scarlet, the young twisted princess of the Midnight kingdom is in need of a personal guard. One day by pure coincidence, Nate, a handsome but scarred young man, meets Scarlet and somehow becomes her knight. Scarlet trust him, but the Guard is suspicious to letting their princess in the hands of a stranger, even less a criminal. But with an accident, they will have to learn to trust Nate, for their princess may not survive on her own. Meanwhile, a connection forms between Scarlet and Nate, feelings are shared and memories entwine. All this started with one simple promise and nothing is stronger than a vampire's vow.

She hadn't expected her young brothers to steal, she hadn't thought of that scenario or what she would do. So she does what she does best, put those who she loves the most above herself. I pulled out my speech device and began typing...I looked up for a split second just to see a fist plummeting towards me and everything became fuzzy. I could hear screams but could not make out what was being said.
