Jace Lee Alexander the 3rd is your average teenage boy, except his, mother died when he was a sophomore and his dad was arrested around that same time. Now he is taken care of by the town librarian. At the start of his Junior year he meets River, a girl he's only seen in his dreams since he was 8, in a foreign place.
Elizabeth Riverline Marie (a.k.a River) is the same age as Jace, but got trapped in this foreign place when she was 2 years old and parent less. She is raised by the locals who, strange as they may seem, are normal as any human living.
The questions are, will Jace return home? What will become of River? What stories lay hidden with the towns people? And what really happened to Jace and River's parents?
