Praying on his downfall

All he wanted was to be a hero everyone else was too afraid to be. He wanted to save her marriage, he wanted to save her child, but he couldn't.Now he was paying for the consequences of all hell breaking loose.

I knew my sister was praying for a downfall, and I know that she told him he deserved nothing but misery, but I didn't believe it. I didn't believe she meant it, and I never would've thought she'd be the one to cause it.
