My take on the Red String Of Fate story is that if you believe heavily in the tale, your string is bright red, if you only half believe in it, you have a half-visible string, and if you don't believe in it at all, your string is non-existent.
There is a new guy at school, who has the ability to see red strings. There is a girl, whose string could be mistaken for blood. She is his soulmate.
This is a cute strangers to friends to lovers, and will have bits of drama, and a little bit of angst maybe??.
